September has just started but days really have a way of speeding up leaving you breathless and without knowledge of what had happened!

On finances

I set aside P900.00 as allowance for this week, inclusive of fare (I commute daily, no car) and lunches.  It is now down to a little over P100.00!  Yikes!  Yesterday, I didn’t know what happened but I gave in to my cravings for a pancake sandwich and coffee.  It cost P49.00 with all the fixings.  I wasn’t even hungry!  I particularly dislike Jollibee’s brewed coffee because it taste much like the styro cup in which they sell it.  It taste sour or something like that.  Not at all pleasing to the taste buds but enough to warm my stomach.  Jollibee is the no. 1 competitor of McDonald’s here in the Philippines.  Funny, I work for the company which owns McDonald’s, Philippines.

Tomorrow, I will meet with my college buddies and spend the afternoon singing and eating and what-have-yous.  My friend M and her kid (my god daugther) will be leaving for middle east this September to join her husband.  She will treat us to Red Box, a videoke bar and restaurant, and we’ll sing our hearts out for 4 hours.  M will treat us but we will probably pay for something to give her as token, I’m just sure.  I will need to remember to bring an umbrella and raincoat in case the heavens will not be so pleased with our voices!

On PF blogs I read

It was the end of August when I started this blog, and soon I got a couple (very few) of views from I-don’t-know-who.  Before I started this one, I have been reading tons of PF blogs and have a handful that I visit regularly, being curious as to what the owner of that blog has written or how he or she is doing. I also read the comments listed and occasionally chuckles at some of them.  Most of the time I have some thoughts that I want to say to the writer or the person who made a comment but felt to shy to do so.  For one, I am nowhere near US (where most of the owners of blogs I read reside) and the situations and cultures are entirely different.  Also,  I am not very sure of how they will feel or what they will think if someone from faraway will tell them so and so.  Or maybe it’s just me.  I don’t know.

More on finances

It maybe too early to say, but I think I have setup a VERY high goal for me this month knowing that I have several gatherings to attend to and run some errands where cash is needed.  There’s Z’s birthday and farewell party, license renewal, ID photos, fare to the parties, etc.  I have put off the groceries (mostly personal care products) till next, next week because I may have to dip my hands in the budget allocated for it. It won’t really hurt me since I have done a bit of stock piling when I sensed the prices will go nowhere but up.

If there is one thing that I am 99% sure to be accomplished, it’s the Parents Fund.
